Best file format for language tabels

Hey.

I have a webservice where i use php.

I need to make a language system for that service.

My problem is that i can't figur out what file format to use.

I will be using php to load the file into an array.

Shut i use json, xml or just a php array.

The file with the language in it need to be human read friendly.
